Hey Scotty,

Just wanted to let you know the radio works great. I discovered after experimenting that FM reception is improved by using a single long wire antenna vs. the standard dipole. In case you were interested, my grandmother was the one who originally got me interested in radios. When I was 9 she let me take apart stuff that had broken and try to fix it. The first thing she gave me was an old tube table top radio, I took it apart cleaned it up. She plugged it in and it worked for several years after. I then moved on to toasters and can openers, my success rate was marginal after that, but it was neat finding out how things worked.
Grandma died when I was 14 so fixing things kind of fell by the wayside. A couple of years ago when I was helping my father-in-law  in his attic I stumbled across an old Emerson tube radio with a spring handle, I was able to get that working too. My father-in-law did not want to part with it since it was an anniversary present for Mom in 1940. The speaker grill is shaped like a coin slot and he likes to store his spare change in there, I warned him that he'll ruin the speaker but evidently he had been doing it since he first got it, I did find several mercury dimes in the speaker cone when I took it apart. After that I started looking for old radios and it is nice to have Grandmas radio working, I think she would have enjoyed it, since it all started at her house.

Best wishes,

Michael

Just a note to thank you for the great service. I had e-mailed and then talked to you on the phone and ordered the needle after you assured me that I could handle the installation. I am retired and no nothing about record players, so it was an expensive venture for me. Well, everything went perfect and those old 78 records sound just great. Thank you so much for your courteous, quick, and assuring service.

Hi, Scotty. Just wanted to let you know that the radio arrived sans problems and I have it set up and playing right now. Thank you for your wonderful service -- I appreciate so much dealing with folks of integrity and high standards.
I found only one small flaw, if it is indeed that -- the tuning knob is very wobbly in its base -- all the others turn fine but do not wobble at all. Was this left this way on purpose secondary to realigning the tuner? I don't think it's going to be a problem -- I don't change the channels that much, but in case it should come out, can you tell me what needs to be done to reaffix it? (It's not just the knob itself that's wobbly -- I know those knobs can be taken off and put back on. It's the thing that the knob goes on that wobbles, if that makes any sense.)
Again, thank you for your help. It was a pleasure dealing with you. -- Susan

Hello Mr. Scott

Even though you delivered the FBM 23.6 and 321476-D 7 for our record player several weeks ago, we've been so busy that it was only today that my husband was able to install one of the new rubber turntable bands.  We haven't tried any of the needles yet, but since I was able to give you a product number, I have no doubts that the extra needles I ordered will be just fine.
I want you to know that the turntable band, which you had to research at great length, works perfectly.  Here in Colorado Springs, CO, we are now in a tremendous spring snow blizzard on this Sunday, 10 April 2005 afternoon.  We're listening to a Christmas album which we haven't been able to play for probably 8 to 10 years.
Thank you so much for working with me.  I really appreciate, more than you know, the effort and time you expended in finding and sending the correct band for our turntable.  You were the only businessman who responded to my half-dozen efforts to find a product provider on-line.
Thank you so much and God Bless. I pray you'll enjoy a profitable and flourishing business experience for many, many years to come!!!

Sincerely,
Karla and Ed Weaver

Hi Scotty,

This is just to tell you that the stylus I ordered arrived.   Thanks for mailing it out so quickly - I hated to be without my music.  It was exactly the right stylus.  I was lucky to find your web site because I would never be able to locate it around here.  Thanks again for your prompt attention.

Best, George Schneider

Just got my BSR back from your shop. Thanks for giving me back my LP's.
The unit works like a charm. I am enjoying the old way --- of stacking my records, turning up the volume, and listening to the good stuff.

I am absolutely delighted with the restoration work performed on my Atwater-Kent Model 55 receiver and Model F4a speaker. I had the highest level restoration done and the receiver and speaker look as though they just came from the Atwater-Kent factory in 1929. They are now the centerpiece among several other vintage radios surrounding me in my Boston law office. I listen to the Atwater-Kent daily and it sounds as good as it looks!

Hello Scott, Just writing to tell you Thank You for the needle. We are once again enjoying our albums. As we speak it's Billy Joel [Strangers] I haven't heard this in a lot of yrs. We love having this old-time music w/ all the cracks and pops. So again Thank You! Have a great day.

Scott,
I got my needle.  It is perfect AND it really plays my records. I have a pristine "White Christmas" by Bing Crosby and now if you are in the room it sounds like he is there!  Wow!  Thank you for all your professional and timely help.

Sincerely,
Rachel
