Record Player & Phonograph Repair
Today it is hard to find a record player repair shop. Or even a repair center that can repair a record player or phonograph. Most repair centers won't even look at them, and if they do, they only end up making matters worse. Well, search no more!
We have been performing record player and phonograph repairs for 45 years now, and continue to do so. You might even say it is one of our many specialties. We have trained technicians coupled with the right parts that make for successful record player repairs. We take great pride in our work and strive to provide the best quality repairs possible. We understand how record players work, the gearing, the timing, the need for precision alignment and a good cartridge and needle for proper audio reproduction. You can trust us to get your record player or phonograph working correctly again.
See our RCA 45 rpm record player repair page as well.

Tip: Use and care of your records. Keep your albums clean and free of dust and dirt. A dirty album is just like sand paper to a needle. Wash dirty records using an old toothbrush, mild soap and water, being extra careful to keep the label dry.
Answers to common questions:
1. My record player has been at another repair center and they said it can't be fixed. Is this true?
Most of the time record player repairs can be done with little or no problems at all, however, extreme circumstances can lead to an un-repairable unit. Keep in mind, turntable parts are getting harder to come by, and will only get harder as time goes by. But for now, most every turntable and phonograph can be serviced!
2. How much will it cost to repair my record player?
While every record player or phonograph has the same basic principle in operation, each model and brand is very different and unique. For example: Some units have an external amplifier while others do not. Some have only 1 drive idler (tire) and others can have 4 or more. Therefore, one price for servicing is not possible or fair. We really need to have the phonograph here on site to evaluate each one individually before any price quote can be given. There is an minimum $85.00 charge for this and does apply toward repair.
3. What models do you service?
Acoustic Research, ADC, Admiral, Airline, AKAI, Arvin, Audio Industries, Audio King, Bell Sound, B.I.C., Birch, Blaupunkt, Bogen, BSR, Brother, Bulova, Capehart, Columbia, Craig, Curtis Mathes, Decca, Diamond, Dual, Dumont, DYN, Dynamic, and so on...all the way up to Zenith. If they made it, we can repair it.
4. How should I ship it to you?
Very carefully! Take your time when getting ready to box up your unit. Note any moving object, and secure it if possible. Be especially sure to secure the tone arm, this should not move or bounce during shipment. Secure the turntable platter so it will not spin around. On turntables with a spring floating deck, turn the deck screws counter clockwise so that they rise up and the deck moves down. This will lock the deck plate down so it will not float on the springs. Any loose parts that it can be easily removed, place in a separate bag. See our shipping page for more information.

We service every make and model of the older Victrola's, Edison and Columbia wind up machines. Even the mechanisms that go into talking dolls such as the Madame Hendren Dolly Reckord, Kammer and Reinhardt, Lioret Bebe Jumeau, Arnolda and Arnoldia can be serviced.
