Philco Beam of Light photo cell housing – old technology meets new technology
This Philco 42-1010 Beam of Light came out beautifully!
The photocells on these old units are almost always not functioning when they come in for repair.
The new housing replacements are a different style and not a direct replacement. We decided to fix that by designing our own replacement, patterned after the original. We took the measurements and modeled up our replacement housing in our CAD software program. From there we sent the file to our 3D printer and what you see here is the final product. 😎
